Where BTS Lived
One thing that fascinates fans is that BTS lived together for many years. And when we say they lived together, they lived in VERY close quarters. This forced them to learn how to deal with conflicts, and also led them to feel like a family.
First Dorm
Pre-debut and for about a year after debut, the seven members lived in a one-bedroom apartment, unit 302, located at 9-8, Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (also find it under 17-3 Nonhyeon-dong 143-gil). There was a walk-in clothes closet as well, with a cot for their manager to sleep over if needed. The seven members shared the bedroom which was set up like a dorm with bunk beds.
At one point, it housed nine potential members, according to the song “Moving On.” This likely refers to Kim JiHoon and Park Yeong-Man, who were BTS trainees but who were cut before the band’s debut. More on them here.
BTS lived in this dorm from August 2010 to approximately late 2014. It was on the 3rd floor and was in the same block as the BigHit offices which were at 10-31 Nonhyeun-dong, Gangnam-gu (this building is no longer owned by HYBE/BigHit so its future is uncertain, but it is currently covered with ARMY and MOA (TXT fandom) graffitti).
You can see clips of their first apartment in their first Rookie King episode, and in their Bangtan Bomb of their first year anniversary / First Festa party. In the Run BTS Telepathy episode, Jin, V, Jimin, and RM meet here in the first round; j-hope goes there in the second round; and SUGA catches j-hope there in the third round.
This dorm is still a private apartment and someone actually lives there, so if you are visiting, please be respectful. If you’re going to Seoul and are interested in stopping by these places and other early Bangtan hangouts, this Reddit post is a good resource, and if you’re looking for wider places in Seoul that are BTS-themed, this is a good Twitter thread.

Second Dorm
The song Moving On refers to moving to a larger three-bedroom apartment where they were divided into roommates, located 50, Nonhyeon-ro 149-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (also find it under 5-19 Nohyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu). Jin notes in Beyond the Story that the split was Jin/Suga, JK/RM, and Hobi/V/Jimin together in the biggest bedroom. They lived on the here from late in 2014 until mid-late 2016. BTS refers to this dorm as the “Blue Dorm.”
As of February 2026, you can apparently stay overnight in this dorm as per this website, although note that the website shows lots of pictures of their First Dorm (see above) and the inside is decorated to match that apartment, while the actual address and use of the term “blue house” means the overnight stay is actually in the Second Dorm. This stay is on the third floor (apartment 3F) but I can’t find any information that confirms if this was actually the BTS floor/unit or not – probably not as all footage of their actual unit is not nearly as bright and sunny as the stay unit. It most likely matches the layout of their actual unit, though, and is in the same building, which is cool. Here’s a TikTok of someone who stayed there.
You can see this dorm during the packing madness of Bon Voyage 1; in the first episode they are given 50 minutes to grab what they can and get out the door. This would have been filmed in spring 2016. It’s also in the Run BTS Telepathy episode – Jin, V, Jimin, and RM meet up with JK here in the second round.

Third Dorm
The third dorm had two stories, with bedrooms on the upper floor and living space downstairs. They were also split into roommates here: Jin/Suga (forever roommates!), RM/V, Jimin/j-hope (also forever roommates!). Jung Kook had his own “room” which was actually a large closet, which led to him naming his studio at work for video editing “Golden Closet.” They moved here in late 2016 and lived here until December 2017.
You can see this dorm in a few different clips:
- Third Muster / Home Party opening clip – where they recreate the Blood Sweat & Tears video (June 2017)
- DNA Comeback Show Preview Clip (September 2017)
- Run BTS episode 29 – where they pick out an outfit for each other (November 2017)
- Run BTS episode 34 – where Jin is wearing a hanbok as punishment on their way to the airport for the MAMA awards

You can visit this dorm as it is now a cafe, called HyuGa Cafe and Bakery, located at 16 Nonhyeon-ro 119-gil, Gangnam District, Seoul.

Fourth Dorm
BigHit bought a condo for BTS in the luxury neighbourhood of Hannam The Hill in November 2017, and they lived there from late-2017 until they each bought their own places in 2020/2021 (Suga was the first to move out, this may have been as early as late-2019). Each member had their own bedroom, except for j-hope and Jimin who were happy to continue sharing. Technically speaking, JK and Tae shared the living room (which had temporary walls in place) and Suga’s room was a small sitting room – he used one of the closets in Jin’s room as his own.
You can see this dorm here:
- Run BTS episode 44 – Jin gets up early to make lunch for RM and V, who have to go for a mountain hike as a punishment. The part with Jin cooking is in this dorm – filmed sometime early in 2018, likely shortly after they moved in as Jin is not very familiar with the kitchen.
- Apparently the opening planning clip from Bon Voyage 3, Episode 1 is in this dorm (not sure about that though) – this would be summer 2018
- Life Goes on MV (November 2020) – the bedroom scene is Jimin and j-hope’s room, and I think RM’s shot with the bike is on their balcony; the “on my pillow” version of the MV is exclusively in the HopeMin room.
- Run BTS episode 125 – Celebrity chef Paik Jungwon guides the members (minus Suga) through cooking with K-Ham. Although several of the members no longer lived at the dorm by this time (December 2020), it was filmed there.
- Festa 2022 dinner where they announced the end of Chapter 1 and the start of Chapter 2 – here they confirm they have now all officially moved out to their own places, and this dinner was in an otherwise-empty apartment (SOB) – this would have been filmed in late Spring 2022
Many thanks to Reddit user sunshinessomewhere for this super cool map of their Hannam Dorm, based on the real estate agent’s original posting.

Where They Live Now
Just kidding!
Even if I knew their actual addresses of their private residences, I would not share them here.
If you’re ever in Korea, please understand that their private homes are not places to stalk them or hope to catch a selfie with them or otherwise treat as tourist attractions. This is especially true of Jung Kook’s house which is at street level and has been a magnet for creepy stalker fans.
That said, they have all gone live from their individual apartment/homes from time to time so you might get a peek at their personal living space occasionally. You’ll find:
- RM and Jimin each have a large one-bedroom apartment in the same building, with mirrored layouts. Jimin’s is quite clean and modern; Namjoon’s is covered with artwork on every surface. You can see Namjoon’s apartment in his 2-part documentary RM All Day (Part 1 / Part 2) and in this video of RM and Jimin talking about RPWP and this OT7 live from New Year’s Eve 2025. You can see Jimin’s apartment in the first episode of Are You Sure Season 2 when JK ambushes him to go on a trip, and there are some clips in the documentary Jimin’s Production Diary about the making of his album Face (you can watch that on Weverse, it is paid content).
- Jin has a fancy apartment that is decorated mostly in white (leading Suga to refer to it as a “newlywed suite”) and you can see it in his farewell pre-enlistment live (Part 1 / Part 2) and an OT7 live from December 2025.
- Suga has an apartment in Hannam Hill and his parents have a unit in the same building. We’ve only seen a few glimpses in recent lives, notably the one where he introduced us to his cat Tang.
- j-hope had a rental apartment for a while (if you see older pics of him with a dark wood-panelled entryway, that’s his original apartment, and the last part of this packing vlog is in his old closet). He bought two condos in a high-end apartment building in 2024, one above the other, and converted them into a 3-story unit (the upper unit is a 2-story penthouse). Not that you can see much, but I think this live from Nov 2025 and this one from Dec 2025 are at his new place; and some of his TikToks are in his apartment like this one and this one and this one and this one. Real estate pics here.
- V lived with his parents for quite some time, then had a rental apartment for a few years (home of the famous “butt chairs” that were shaped like the backside of someone sitting down). He bought a 2-story penthouse apartment in 2025 in the same building complex as several of his bestie Wooga Squad members and gave us a tour on live when he moved there in February 2026. He now goes live from there regularly when they are in Korea, like here. Real estate pics here.
- JK had a rental apartment for a few years – this is the birthplace of JK’s iconic spontaneous and unsupervised hours-long livestreams, including the cooking live where he collapses because it’s just so tasty / karaoke live where he falls asleep with a candle burning, and we just watch candle ASMR for 45 minutes until the staff pull the feed / going live from bed, but falling back asleep in front of 6 million people / going live for 2 minutes with Mingyu from Seventeen at 4am while drinking, just to show off how the staff are unable to control him in any way / karaoke in his kitchen and then doing his dishes in a huff when an ARMY points them out in the background / tipsy Jin stopping by to decorate JK’s birthday cake with grapes. During this time, he built a custom multi-story house which is at street level somewhere in Seoul that was finished in late 2024 – PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. He goes live from there all the time now (like, ALL the time) so we’ve seen most of it, from the kitchen to his karaoke room to his workout room to his gaming setup. All the walls are black inside and out, and there are minimal windows as several of the floors are underground; this makes it so dark that ARMY has a nickname for it, the “vampire nightclub.” Pick any JK live from December 2024 onwards and it’s probably at his house, for example (this is just a sampling, there are many others) – Karaoke Dec 2024 / Trying out joint lives with V in August 2025 / Cooking dinner in Sept 2025 / Gaming Live with Jin October 2025 / Having a coffee on his rooftop patio in October 2025 / Watching TV and eating snacks in front of his laundry rack, October 2025 / Yet another cooking live, November 2025 / Iconic live of JK, V, and Jin drunk in JK’s basement, December 20 2025 / chit chat from April 2026
